Disappointments ...... a necessary part of the journey!

Sometimes a day can bring disappointments or throw things at us that cause us to stop and ask questions and it can be difficult to see clearly and in extract the positive.  Disappointments shake our faith foundations and we go through certain emotions and at the same time feel that perhaps by feeling disappointed it means we are doubting our faith in the one who first loved us and paid the price for all our disappointments.  I have through experience learnt that at such times it is best to remove myself as quickly as is possible from the situation and just chat with my Father (he is accessible 24/7), it is the natural thing to do. 

I am thankful that I can take my husband's hand and off load, there is nothing like his listening ears or his voice to say 'Don't worry.'

The Bible says;

Romans 8:28         
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Philippians 4:6-7     
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So today (day 183) I am filled with gratitude that I can run to you Lord and know that your arms will be wide open to embrace me and take those cares away.............. as I am also reminded in the lyrics of this song;

When the cares of life

Seem overwhelming

To guide me through this world

And though I'm weak in Him I'll stand

And you will hear me say

Today I'm gonna trust in God
