Happily exhausted.............

My Sunday morning began quite early with the arrival of nails!  No I wasn't embarking on a DIY frenzy before church, it was my Gracie at my bedroom door asking for a pedicure.  That's right, bye bye lie in hello manicure set and selection of nail varnishes.  What a discussion we had over the fine art of beautifying toes.............. Seriously every moment with my girl is an opportunity for intimate fellowship, not to be missed!

Properly pruned we all made our way to church, the initial grey sky could not dampen  the glorious fellowship that awaited us.  We sang some a song in particular, 'Shine Jesus shine,' that brought tears to my eyes for a couple of reasons; it was a popular choice of the pastor in our previous fellowship and one of mine and Ayo's choices on the day we said 'I do.'  As we sang Ayo caught my gaze and our smiles said it all.  Shine Jesus certainly did today - we had a Bible college graduate in our midst and we celebrated with him, on the completion of an epic three year journey in which we as a church family have seen the hand of God move to mould and shape him into the man who stood before us today and I have a feeling the mighty Potter isn't done yet!  As if that wasn't enough to warm the cockles we had two planned baptisms and another two who seized the opportunity and guess what ......... three of them were children.  One of them had witnessed his older siblings baptised and was concerned that he was not a real Christian.  Today, aged just 8 he knew for certain how much God loved him and it was wonderful to see him clutch his newly acquired Bible and stride around with a beam of pride.  This day will certainly go down in the history of his life as a special one.

Now in a style for which our fellowship is known we had nibbles and a natter afterwards.

To top it all it was my mother-in-law's birthday today and in true Aina family style we serenaded her with a harmonious 'happy birthday' chorus.

I am happily exhausted just writing all of this!  Thank you Lord for today (day 181) for your goodness and grace in the lives of all these precious children of yours.  May the youngsters never depart from the walk they have started with You and the slightly older ones continue their life journey holding on tightly to You.
