Tired, but happy customers

My posts this week might appear a little disjointed as the internet connection is unstable where we are in Scarborough and I am on the top floor of a 4 storey hotel!  Nonetheless I know I will have lots to give gratitude for..............

The kids were all amazingly well behaved on the coach, no travel sickness, only false alarms.  Even when we had a slight delay due to an accident involving another coach carrying children from another school and three cars (thankfully no one was seriously injured) they patiently waited for us to reach the Sea Life Centre which was our first port of call before heading to the hotel, now somewhat exhausted.  The variety, simplicity and complexity of God's sea creations left us all in awe!  After a hearty meal the children continued to make acquaintances with their new surroundings, particularly their bedrooms.

Later we had a birthday to celebrate and games to play which allowed us to indulge in some spontaneous laughter and good cheer.  A few tears before bedtime as we anticipated, some children missed their bed time routines with their parents, but lots of words of encouragement and reassurance were the order of the day.

Thank you Lord today (day 168) for your kindness to all of us in our party, for journey mercies and good cheer all round.  Roll on tomorrow's fun, a visit to an abbey and folk museum.........................
