Fellowship worship......

I like the analogy made in church today; of a car low on diesel and sucking in sludge and other impurities and a person running low on fellowship worship fuel.  There is something to be said for worshipping in numbers at Sunday service; it really does fuel you up and when you are running low during the week you can tap into it.  I hear my children do it.  During the course of the week you can hear them giving renditions of the songs they heard and sang on Sunday.  I love to meditate on the lyrics and they really really do lift you up.  We sang one of my favourites today - this one by Paul Baloche:

Hosanna [Praise Is Rising]
Praise is rising, eyes are turning to you
We turn to you
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for you
We long for you

When we see you we find strength to face the day
In your presence all our fears are washed away, washed away
Hosanna, Hosanna
You are the God who saves us, worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna
Come have your way among us
We welcome you here Lord Jesus

Hear the sound of hearts returning to you
We turn to you
In your kingdom broken lives are made new
You make all things new

Fellowship worship is not a replacement for our own personal time with our Father, but is an awesome blessing and today (day 76) I am most thankful.
