Nothing like a good book............

There's nothing like a child's hunger for knowledge and the acquisition of a sense of right and wrong.  Ayo is going through Proverbs with our younger two.  He first explained what proverbs were and that God intends us to read them and apply them daily in our lives.  Their absolute excitement as they began to read and decipher the meaning of each.  They were in awe of how sometimes, a few words can mean so much.  Gracie could relate the moral message contained in each proverb to her experiences, at school for instance.  It was a struggle to get them to stop and go to bed.

As parents we have to be so careful of the influences and teachings our children are exposed to.  They will contribute to informing the adults they will become.  Gracie and Aaron love reading and shared tonight's instalment with their Dad.  You know there is no other book that is: a manual for daily living; a fool proof guide to parenting; for the young, old and in between; a book that reveals something new each time you read it.  Thank God for The Bible!

Today (day 94) I am indeed thankful to see my children so hungry to taste all that is good in the Book of Life.
